12 de July de 2023

Objectives:

  • to be able to compare the vegetation sampling in a meadow with the vegetation in a river forest.
  • to identify plant species using the PlantNet app and digital pictures.
  • to analyze biodiversity, species coverage in the samples, and contrast hypotheses.
  • to understand the ecosystems, abiotic and biotic factors.

Here are the video showing the procedure of how to set the sampling quadrats at the river forest location. The stream in which both sides we studied te plants communities is Rego das Cavancas, just 300 hundred meters away from our school.

As It is seen the plants community are diferents when you change your sampling in a meadow. This one is set just at the front of our school.
